No kidding – when I left Austin, TX yesterday afternoon the temperature was 86F.
When I arrived in Long Island early this morning – it was hovering around 20F.
I started the day with my sweater sleeves pushed all the way up and ended it with a giant scarf and my (not so terribly warm) leather jacket.
It was raining when I arrived and I am pleased to report that the downpour had no impact on my jacket! I love this piece; I’ve had it for about three years and wish I wore it more. The leather is so soft and now I know it’s durable, too. A black version of the jacket had caught my eye originally, but after much trying on I decided that a softer color suits me better. I also have a brown leather jacket with more dense leather. Although they’re the same style, they have a totally different “look.”
Anyhow – here’s the same outfit, 18 hours and 60 degrees apart.
Sweater: Equipment, Jeans: Hudson, Boots: Fiorentini + Baker, Jacket: Balenciaga

Cute post! Similar weather here (but all in the same city)! 80 degrees on Sunday – 40 degrees on Monday!!! So ready for spring! Love the leather jacket!

We get those wild fluctuations in temperature at home every once in a while; it’s so frustrating. I’m also ready for spring, and ready to do a little spring clothes shopping!
